The weekly list of bestselling films at the Iranian box office has been revealed with ‘Lovely Trash’ still shining on the top.
According to the cinematicket official website, the top five hits at Iranian box office for February 21-27 includes:
‘Lovely Trash’ by Mohsen Amir-Yousefi, (Weekly gross: 9,079,610,000 Rials, Total gross: 18,946,180,000Rials), ‘Paradise’ by Ali Atshani, (Weekly gross: 5,614,080,000 Rials, Total gross: 32,095,270,000 Rials), ‘Murphy’s Law’ by Rambod Javan, (Weekly gross: 4,213,590,000 Rials, Total gross: 87,956,300,000 Rials), ‘Hattrick’ by Ramtin Lavvafi, (Weekly gross: 3,671,410,000 Rials, Total gross: 7,290,160,000 Rials),, ‘Beautiful Jinn’ by Bayram Fazli, (Weekly gross: 2,852,150,000 Rials, Total gross: 5,080,130,000 Rials).
‘Lovely Trash’ has a narrative related to some tensions in the Iranian political scene of around ten years ago. It depicts the attempts made by a mother to help her daughter who has been arrested during the unrest.
‘Paradise’ narrates the story of two seminary students who wish to attend an academic seminar on religions in Germany. Their teacher, however, doesn't give them permission to do so.
‘Murphy’s Law’ depicts the story of a girl, Sara, who is abducted and Bahman goes to the north of the country to help find her. However, he faces numerous unexpected events.
‘Hattrick’, narrates a dull quote which says people do not change overnight as we fail to look at them every so often.
